Afghan ERP migration is mostly a data-quality and process problem.

Most Afghan organizations migrating to Odoo aren't coming from another modern ERP — they're coming from QuickBooks, Excel-based ledgers maintained for years, custom-built MIS systems written in PHP / .NET a decade ago, or paper-based and partially-digital workflows. The migration challenge is rarely 'how do we replicate features in Odoo' — it's 'how do we get the data clean enough to migrate.'

Our methodology accounts for that. Every Afghan migration starts with a data-quality phase: master data audit, balance reconciliation in the source system, identification of broken historical records, and a written cleanup plan before any extract happens. Some Afghan migrations spend 30-40% of total project time in data preparation. That work happens regardless — better to do it deliberately than to discover it mid-cutover.

Common Afghan migration sources: QuickBooks Desktop, Excel-based ledgers, custom PHP / .NET MIS systems, Tally, Sage, paper-based / hybrid workflows. Common Odoo destinations: Odoo Enterprise (full suite) or Odoo Community (cost-conscious smaller deployments).

— Questions

Afghan Odoo migration — questions we hear.

How do you handle messy data in source systems?
Every migration starts with a paid data-audit phase. We catalog data quality issues (duplicate masters, missing fields, unreconciled balances, orphaned records) and present a written cleanup plan. Cleanup happens in the source system (where the data needs to be right for ongoing operations anyway), before migration extract.
Can you migrate from a legacy MIS that doesn't have an API?
Yes — most Afghan legacy systems don't have proper APIs. We extract via database direct read (read-only credentials), structured exports (CSV / Excel), or custom adapter code we write. The extract layer is one-time work; once data lands in our staging area, the Odoo target mapping is standard.
What's the typical cost of an Afghan Odoo migration?
Entry-level migration (QuickBooks → Odoo for small business): $8-25K. Mid-market migration with cleanup phase: $25-80K. Large migration with multi-system source and reconciliation: $80-300K. Ministry-scale: scoped separately.
How long does Afghan Odoo migration take?
Small QuickBooks → Odoo: 6-10 weeks. Mid-market with cleanup: 12-20 weeks. Ministry-scale or multi-entity: 6-15 months.
