Twenty years building Afghanistan's tech backbone.

NETLINKS started building software in Afghanistan in 2005. Two decades on, we are still the country's longest-running enterprise software company — and the team behind two of Afghanistan's most-recognized products: Jobs.af (the largest job-hunting platform in the country) and the 500,000-employee Odoo HR and payroll system serving a national government.

Our work covers what Afghan organizations actually need: web applications, mobile apps, ERP and business systems, custom integrations, AI automation, and managed cloud services. Senior local engineers handle most delivery; regional backup comes from our Dubai, India, and US offices when specialized expertise is needed.

Delivery is ISO 12207 (software lifecycle) and ISO 27001 (information security) certified at the group level — the audit-readiness that international donor programs, multinational corporations, and government clients require. We have passed external audits on system controls without findings.

— Questions

Software company in Afghanistan — questions we hear.

What makes NETLINKS the longest-running software company in Afghanistan?
We started building software in Afghanistan in 2005 — earlier than virtually all current competitors. We've been continuously operating ever since, through every political and economic transition. Two decades of unbroken delivery is the differentiator.
Who are your competitors in Afghanistan?
Codeworkaf, Karmand, Afghan Realsoft, iTex, TechNation, WinSoft, MSOFT, HSOFT, and others. NETLINKS competes on scale (the 500K-employee Odoo rollout no other Afghan firm has matched), tenure (since 2005), and breadth (we cover ERP + custom software + AI + IT staff aug + cloud + hardware-vendor partnerships under one roof).
What languages does your team speak?
Working language is English for delivery documentation, code, and client communication. Local-language (Dari, Pashto) support is available for in-country client teams and for software products that need local-language UI.
Do you build for international clients from Kabul?
Yes. Many of our engagements serve clients headquartered in the US, UAE, Europe, and the GCC, with engineering executed from our Kabul office under senior architecture from our Dubai or US offices. Time zones work well for European and Middle East clients; US clients get end-of-day handoffs that essentially give them an overnight team.
What's the typical pricing for Afghan-based engagements?
Software development is competitively priced compared to US/EU markets — typically 40-60% below comparable senior-team rates. Quotes are project-based with paid 2-week structured discovery upfront that gives you a firm scope and fixed-fee proposal.
Are your engineers certified?
Our team holds certifications in Odoo (since 2012), AWS, Azure, Cisco, Oracle, ISO 27001 lead auditor, and various development frameworks. We're an authorized distribution partner of Oracle, Dell, Cisco, Sophos, and Symantec in Afghanistan.
